Sahiba Gafarova: Second Karabakh War and anti-terrorist operation put end to series of genocides of Azerbaijanis
The people of Azerbaijan always honor the memory of tens of thousands of innocent people who were victims of the brutality of Armenian chauvinists, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis), Sahiba Gafarova, said in her speech at the plenary session of the parliament held on Friday on March 31—the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis. The speaker noted that the historical victories achieved by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the 44-day Patriotic War and anti-terrorist measures under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as well as the complete restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state ended the land losses, the series of ethnic purges and genocides Azerbaijanis faced in the last two hundred years: "A crushing blow was dealt to Armenian chauvinism and expansionism, which brought numerous national disasters to the people of Azerbaijan.
