Baku hosts 9th trilateral meeting of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian FMs

The 9th trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye has been held in Baku. Addressing the opening ceremony, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that the current regional cooperation among Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye is based on the fundamental principles of international law, such as territorial integrity and sovereignty. He highlighted the historical good neighborly and friendly relations between the countries.

He hailed the mutually beneficial cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye in economy, trade, investments, energy security, transport and communications, agriculture, efficient use of water resources, high technologies, tourism, humanitarian and other domains.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov mentioned the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period, highlighting restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories, demining activities, as well as the normalization and peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

During the meeting, the sides explored the prospects for regional cooperation between the three countries and other bilateral and multilateral issues.

The meeting ended with the signing of the Baku Declaration and the ministers` press statements.
