The meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Georgia became one of the effective mechanisms of regional cooperation, Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said at a press conference following the 9th trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of the three countries in Baku, SİA informs.
“Today we discussed regional opportunities and challenges, and also expressed our readiness to further expand our cooperation,” he said.
According to the minister, Georgia is interested in promoting peace in the South Caucasus and calls for dialogue.
“We hope that Azerbaijan and Armenia will soon sign a peace treaty. Georgia also supports achieving peace in the Middle East,” the minister added.
Darchiashvili emphasized that the parties agreed to hold the next meeting of foreign ministers in Türkiye.
