Turkic Council Elders Assembly commences meeting in Turkmenistan's capital

Today marks the initiation of the Council of Elders meeting in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, organized by the Turkic Council.

The meeting, attended by elders (advisors) from member countries, is being represented by Turkey's Council President, Binali Yildirim, SIA reports.

The agenda for the assembly includes discussions on previous decisions and the exploration of avenues to enhance collaboration among member states.

This assembly marks the 15th gathering of the Council of Elders of the Turkic States, reflecting the ongoing commitment to strengthening ties and cooperation within the Turkic Council.

In conjunction with the event, Turkmenistan's President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has issued a directive to ensure the highest level of accommodation for the esteemed guests.

Hosting the official iftar table and overseeing the recitation of the Quran, Turkmenistan's National Leader and Elder, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, will preside over the assembly, adding a cultural and spiritual dimension to the proceedings.

Representatives from the organization's core members, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, along with Hungary as an observer country, are actively participating in this significant Council of Elders meeting.

This annual assembly serves as a platform for comprehensive discussions, providing a forum for elders to share insights, address challenges, and prepare reports to be presented to the leadership of the Turkic Council.
