Azerbaijani and Kuwaiti Foreign Ministers foster diplomatic ties at Antalya Forum

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Kuwaiti counterpart Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2024.

The discussions revolved around the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the State of Kuwait, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation.

FM Bayramov congratulated his colleague on his new appointment as Foreign Minister and wished him success in his endeavors.

Mentioning the current level of cooperation between the two countries, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov lauded the interaction between Azerbaijan and Kuwait on the multilateral platforms.

The parties also acknowledged that this year signifies a significant milestone – the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait. Emphasizing the abundant opportunities for further strengthening relations in tourism, culture, trade, and other areas, both sides underscored the importance of political consultations between the two countries. They also highlighted the role of the bilateral intergovernmental commission chaired by ministers and the meetings held in enhancing bilateral ties.

Minister Bayramov provided insights into Azerbaijan's territorial liberation, post-conflict reconciliation efforts with Armenia, and ongoing reconstruction activities in the liberated territories. The ministers also engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views on various bilateral and regional topics, including the Middle East and the situation in Gaza.
