President of Northern Cyprus pays tribute to victims of Khojaly massacre
President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus commemorated the victims of the Khojaly genocide.
Despite 32 years passing since the Khojaly massacre on February 26, 1992, President Tatar emphasized that this event will never be forgotten, and joint efforts have been made to demonstrate to the world that Turks stand united, SIA reports with reference to foreign media.
President also drew attention to the fact that in the Khojaly massacre, which has left a dark stain on humanity and world history, including the elderly, women, and children, 613 Azerbaijani civilians were ruthlessly murdered by Armenian armed forces. Hundreds of people lost their lives, and thousands were taken captive.
Additionally, President Ersin Tatar underscored that he pays respectful homage to those who lost their lives in the Khojaly massacre, and he stated that injustices will be conveyed to the world with the support of the Turkish world and Turkey.
