President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolences to Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, SIA reports with reference to AZƏRTAC .
The Azerbaijani head of state expressed his condolences in the letter, stating:
"It is with profound sorrow that we received the news of the death of your brother, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.
In these difficult moments, we share in your grief. I extend my heartfelt condolences to you, all members of your family, and the friendly people of the State of Kuwait on behalf of myself and the Azerbaijani people.
May Allah rest his soul in peace!"
