In the morning of August 18, accompanied by a combat vehicle belonging to the Russian peacekeeping contingent temporarily stationed in Azerbaijan, illegal Armenian armed detachments and the remnants of the Armenian armed forces were observed strengthening their combat positions along the Khankendi-Gaybali-Dukanlar-Khalfali route in the Karabakh economic region, the Ministry of Defense told SİA.
The movement of an ambulance filled with weapons, ammunition, as well as anti-personnel and anti-tank landmines in the convoy was recorded in the images obtained by technical surveillance means.
“It was also detected that the Armenians used emergency medical vehicles for military purposes by installing electronic warfare devices, which posed a serious threat to the safety of civil aircraft flights passing through our airspace,” MoD said.
