Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov told reporters that now it will be more difficult for the diplomatic mission to work.
"Undoubtedly, reducing the number of diplomatic staff to 10 units and administrative and technical to 15 will create difficulties in the work of the diplomatic mission, the Russian Center for Science and Culture and the Trade Mission. But we will try to adapt to the new conditions," he said.
He assured that, despite the reduction in the composition of the diplomatic mission, consular work in the republic will continue.
At the end of July, Vasnetsov was summoned to the Moldovan Foreign Ministry and informed about Moldova's intention to reduce the number of the Russian diplomatic mission in the republic, and that this requirement must be fulfilled by August 15.
