On July 31, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan within the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, the press service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told SIA.
The one-on-one meeting between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister Hakan Fidan continued with the participation of delegations from both sides.
At the comprehensive meeting, the current issues on the agenda of multifaceted bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, including the current situation in the region, were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed various issues with the Turkish counterpart, including political, economic, trade, military, defense industry, energy security, investments, humanitarian, education, culture. Noting that the dynamics of development of relations in the fields are satisfactory, he pointed out that our alliance relations based on friendship, brotherhood, mutual support and solidarity play an important role in maintaining stability in the region.
The Turkish minister said the two countries’ providing constant support to each other in the most difficult days is an indication that Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood is confirmed not only in words but also in deeds.
During the meeting, the ministers emphasized the importance of further expansion of joint activities within the framework of tripartite and quadrilateral formats with international organizations, especially the Organization of Turkic States, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Central Asian countries, as well as other multilateral initiatives.
At the meeting, other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
Later, at the press briefing held, the ministers made statements on the results of the meeting and answered the questions of journalists.
