Turkiye, Azerbaijan have signed project partnership agreement for the development of KAAN Combat Aircraft - Turkish President
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the closing ceremony of the IDEF-2023, 16th International Defence Industry Fair, said that Ankara will prepare another high-end segment of "TGG Anadolu" and has already started receiving new orders in advance, SIA reports.
"A project partnership agreement has been signed with our brother Azerbaijan regarding the national combat aircraft "Kaan". This is a sign of solidarity between the two countries," he emphasized.
The Turkish head of state added that the HÜRRJET aircraft, which made its first flight in recent months, will be handed over to the armed forces in 2025, and efforts will be continued to achieve the goal of complete independence in the Turkish defense industry.
