Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has urged Germany not to block Kyiv's application for an accelerated entry into NATO, SİA informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.
“I urge the German government not to repeat the mistakes made by Chancellor Merkel in 2008, who clearly spoke out against the integration of Ukraine into NATO. The result was even more aggressive behavior of Russia - see Georgia, enmity towards the West and the current aggression towards Ukraine,” he said in an interview with ARD.
He noted that there is already an overwhelming majority of NATO members who support Ukraine's faster entry into the Alliance.
