Lavrov: Progress in all areas - key condition for achieving peace in South Caucasus

The main topic of today's events is the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Moscow.

Lavrov noted the significant role of the trilateral agreements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia. According to him, trilateral statements should be decisive in finding all solutions on all issues: "This also applies to a peace treaty, unblocking communications, as well as delimitation and demarcation of borders. Progress in all these areas is a key condition for achieving peace in the South Caucasus."

Lavrov noted that Russia has serious interests in the South Caucasus region and played a historical role, and Moscow is ready to contribute to the final establishment of peace and stability in the region.
