Israel's Foreign Minister Cohen thanks Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen has thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the historic decision to open an embassy in Tel Aviv, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said on March 29 following a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, SİA informs.

He noted that a couple of days ago, the Azerbaijani ambassador presented his credentials to the president of Israel: “I am sure that this diplomatic mission led by Ambassador Mukhtar Mammadov will become an important bridge that will further strengthen relations between our governments and peoples.”

“The decision to open an Azerbaijani embassy in Israel is an indication of the depth of our strategic relationship that has developed over the past 30 years,” Cohen said.
