Turkish Supreme Electoral Council approves the decision to hold elections on May 14

The Supreme Electoral Council of Türkiye confirmed the President's decision to hold presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14 in the country, SİA reports citing the Turkish media.

The second round of presidential elections could take place on May 28, according to the constitution.

On March 10, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree to hold elections on May 14.
