Armenia has disabled existing energy transit facilities in Azerbaijan, such as the natural gas pipeline connecting Yevlakh with Nakhchivan. Gas supply to Nakhchivan has been cut off as a result of the occupation.
SIA refers to AZERTAC that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs realased a statement regarding the initiation of the interstate arbitration process against Armenia in accordance with the Azerbaijan Energy Charter Agreement.
The purpose of this arbitration case is to provide justice and compensation to Armenia in response to the nearly 30-year illegal exploitation and usurpation of energy resources by Armenia in the internationally recognized sovereign territory of Azerbaijan.
