Türkiye and Israel have the political will to normalize relations, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told a joint press conference with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen, SİA informs.
According to him, one of the first countries to support Türkiye is Israel: “Rescuers from Israel provided the greatest support to the rescue work in Kahramanmaras, and they helped rescue 19 people from the rubble. Some municipal buildings in Israel were illuminated with the Turkish flag. We appreciate all such support given to our country in a difficult time.”
The minister said that relations between Israel and Türkiye have entered a new era: “Today, we once again saw that there is a political will to develop the relations between the two countries. We have discussed these issues together with my counterpart Eli Cohen. After the meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Israeli Foreign Minister will meet with the Israeli rescuers operating in Kahramanmaras today."
