Advisor to Turkish Ambassador: Azerbaijanis mourn together with Turkish people

Azerbaijanis mourn together with the Turkish people, Advisor to the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan Huseyn Altinalan said Twitter.

He said the Azerbaijani public is experiencing this pain together with the Turkish people: "In Baku mosques, most of the prayers are dedicated to the victims of the earthquake in our country. Long live our brotherhood."

A magnitude 7.7 earthquake shook the Kahramanmaras province in southeastern Turkiye on February 7.7. The tremors, followed by hundreds of aftershocks, were felt in 10 provinces of the country, as well as in neighboring countries, including Syria.

A three-month state of emergency has been introduced in 10 Turkish provinces. The country is observing seven-day mourning for the dead.
