Illegal exploitation of the "Gizilbulag" deposit should be stopped: Assistant to Azerbaijani President
"We want to inform you about the latest situation, the real situation on the Shusha-Lachin road. Because we see unnecessary propaganda and false information being spread," said Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during a meeting with the diplomatic corps in the administrative building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA reports.
Hikmet Hajiyev said that during the occupation, the environment of Azerbaijan was damaged and its natural resources were illegally exploited, and this is still observed in the territories under the control of Russian peacekeepers.
"We observed the intensification of illegal exploitation in the "Gizilbulag" deposit. This issue was investigated by the relevant institutions of Azerbaijan, and the Ministry of Defense appealed to the command of the Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh. The first meeting was held in Khojaly under the leadership of Russian peacekeepers, and it was agreed to conduct monitoring of relevant institutions in "Kyzilbulagh" on December 10. This illegal activity should be stopped, the damage to the environment should be assessed and an appropriate program should be prepared," Hikmat Hajiyev stressed.
