On November 19, an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party was held in the parliament with the participation of the Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
First, the participants of the event visited the monument of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of our people, the founder of the New Azerbaijan Party, in the lobby of the administrative building of the Milli Majlis. The officials paid tribute to the memory of the Great Leader, and laid flowers in front of the monument.
The participants of the event also came to the "Victory Corner" located in the lobby of the parliament and familiarized themselves with the information displayed, laid flowers in front of the corner, and paid tribute to the memory of our heroic compatriots who died in the Patriotic War.
Then the event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party, which is connected with the honorable name of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, began.
Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova gave opening speech and congratulated the event participants on the occasion of this significant day. Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. The memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who died in the Patriotic War was commemorated with a minute of silence.
The Speaker of the Milli Majlis stated that the New Azerbaijan Party, which is the most organized and powerful political force of Azerbaijan, has an exceptional role in the history of our country's independence and statehood. It is completely logical that the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party, which has invaluable services in rescuing our state from chaos and anarchy, decline, and the threat of destruction, and bringing it to the path of sustainable stability and development, is being solemnly celebrated in every corner of Azerbaijan.
Many other officials and deputies also gave their congratulatory speeches during the event.
The chairman of the Milli Majlis presented New Azerbaijan Party cards to the members of the parliament who were accepted into the party ranks.
