No monkeypox cases recorded in Azerbaijan

"No monkeypox cases have been recorded in Azerbaijan yet," Minister of Health Teymur Musayev told journalists, SİA informs.

He said that the disease is transmitted only through close contact: "The virus has specific symptoms. The main confirmatory way is laboratory tests. There are no suspicious cases in the country to date. Therefore, no examination method was needed. The tests we have brought will be handed to a hazardous infection control center. All examinations will be carried out there."
