"There are negative cases regarding food safety" - CHAIRMAN OF AIB STATED

"There has always been problems in kindergartens. Because it is considered a relatively closed enterprise. The treatment of children and their nutrition is under the influence of the kindergarten administration and its staff." This statement came from chairman of the Free Consumers Union (AİB) Eyyub Huseynov.

According to him, there have been problems in kindergartens since Soviet times: “It is very good that the control over kindergartens has been entrusted to the Ministry of Education. Because in the past, it was subordinated to the executive authorities, and the food issue was resolved there.

4 years ago, ADB monitored kindergartens as part of a tele-project and found that food was in an unsanitary condition. We made this case public. "

Eyyub Huseynov continued: “After the establishment of AQTA, work is being done in kindergartens regarding this area. The AQTA and the Ministry of Education monitor more than 1,600 kindergartens in their area. There are negative cases with food. I think that as a result of this work, the situation in kindergartens will improve. However, we will achieve the highest results only if the media is involved. Parent organizations should also be involved.

There is non-transparency in private kindergartens. The public does not know anything. However, AQTA has the right to monitor these places. As an ADB, we urge parents to be proactive and report any problems to the 1003 AQTA Hotline. ”
