The number of cases of COVID-19 in China has reached a record high since the pandemic began.
SIA reports quoting TASS, 29,411 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in China in the last 24 hours, which is a record since the beginning of the pandemic.
According to the State Committee for Hygiene and Health of the People's Republic of China, 21 out of 3,020 people infected with COVID-19 came from abroad.
The remaining 2,999 people were identified in the country.
The highest number of infections per day was recorded in Shanghai (2573) and the northeastern province of Jilin (325).
No symptoms were observed in 26,391 people.
At present, the number of infected people in China is 171.3 thousand.
