The international summit on the combat against pandemic and issues of global vaccination will take place on September 22, The Washington Post reports, citing the White House invitation.
SİA informs that, according to the statement, during the summit, President Joe Biden will call on the heads of government, state and international organizations, leaders of charity, non-governmental and business organizations to coordinate efforts to put an end to the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants will announce specific actions and set ambitious goals necessary to achieve this task and to prepare the world for future threats to healthcare security.
According to the newspaper, the commitments Biden will urge the participants to assume will help increase the volumes of global vaccine supplies, expand access to tests, medicines, medical oxygen, and personal protection means, and ensure stable funding to help resist the pandemic. The virtual summit will open the way for meetings that will be held within the next six months.
