Central Customs Hospital — A Clinical Training Base for Future Medical Professionals

Central Customs Hospital makes a significant contribution to the training of medical professionals in Azerbaijan through its strong scientific and clinical potential, modern medical infrastructure, and experienced specialists. To improve the quality of medical education and develop the practical skills of future doctors, the Hospital provides clinical training and practical sessions for undergraduate students, students enrolled in secondary medical education programmes, and medical residents.
Within the framework of signed memoranda of cooperation, students and residents from Azerbaijan Medical University and the Baku Branch of I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, as well as students from Baku Medical College No. 1 and Baku Basic Medical College No. 2, benefit from the Hospital’s clinical facilities to consolidate their theoretical knowledge, enhance their practical skills, and gain professional experience.
Combining theoretical knowledge with real-life clinical experience is particularly important in the professional development of future medical specialists. Practical sessions conducted with the participation of the Hospital’s experienced doctors and academic teaching staff enable students to become familiar with modern diagnostic and treatment methods while developing their clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
Cooperation with educational institutions extends beyond clinical training. Organising joint scientific and practical conferences, seminars, certified training programmes, and research projects are also important areas of this collaboration. For Central Customs Hospital, contributing to the education and training of future doctors is not merely a professional responsibility but also a valuable investment in the future of healthcare in Azerbaijan.
