Azerbaijan and China have discussed the current state of cooperation and future development prospects in the healthcare sector, SİA informs.
During a meeting between Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev and Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei, opportunities for joint cooperation in medical education, scientific research activities, pharmaceuticals, application of innovative technologies, and other areas of interest were discussed.
The minister emphasized that Azerbaijan-China relations are developing dynamically as a result of the efforts of the two countries' leaders: "The Joint Statement on Establishing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and China signed by the heads of state has elevated the relations between the two countries to a higher level."
Minister Musayev noted that the strategic partnership between the two countries covers many areas, emphasizing that cooperation in healthcare is of particular importance in this context.
The ambassador expressed confidence that joint initiatives in the healthcare sector between the countries will continue in the future.
