TABIB reveals state of those who injured at AZAL plane crash

"A total of six individuals (2 men and 4 women) injured in the plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan, are currently receiving treatment at Yeni Klinika," Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) of Azerbaijan told SİA.

On December 30, 2024, a patient admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in critical but stable state was transferred to the inpatient ward after clinical and hemodynamic stabilization. Note that the patient, diagnosed with fractures of the left shin, right clavicle, and two metacarpal bones of the right hand, underwent shin bone osteosynthesis surgery (an operation to restore the anatomical structure of fractured bones) performed by trauma specialist Dr. Elshan Najafov. The patient's current state is assessed as satisfactory.

Two patients admitted in a state of traumatic coma are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit for cranio-cerebral trauma, fractures of varying severity, blunt chest trauma, and pneumothorax, in accordance with protocol. They are currently receiving respiratory support, and their state is assessed as critically severe but stable.

Note that out of the 14 individuals previously hospitalized, two more have been discharged for outpatient treatment. The inpatient treatment of the remaining three patients at the medical facility continues, and their state is assessed as satisfactory.
