The "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information about a fire in a mountainous area with complex terrain near the village of Garibler, Masalli district.
The fire protection units of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications were involved in the call, the Ministry told SIA.
Currently, operative and urgent measures are being taken to extinguish the fire.
In order to speed up the fire fighting and prevent it from spreading to a wider area, in addition to the fire fighting measures, the Civil Defense troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Special Risk Rescue Service, the relevant forces of the Southern Regional Center and two helicopters of the Aviation detachment were involved.
Currently, firefighting operations are ongoing.
