On August 2, 2022, an employee of a local demining company operating in the liberated territories, Huseynov Gilman, Hidayat Oglu, born in 1976, was hit by an anti-personnel mine while performing his duties in the territory of Fuzuli district, SİA reports citing the Press Service of the Demining Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA).
According to the international demining standards, several employees nearby were sent to the hospital for preventive examinations.
We are investigating the incident. Additional information will be provided to the public about the investigation results," the statement reads.
According to the information provided to SİA by the Fuzuli district prosecutor's office, the district prosecutor's office received information about the fact that 3 employees of the company were hit by a mine while performing their duties in the territory of Karakhanbeyli village of Fuzuli district liberated from occupation around 10 o'clock on August 2.
According to the information, Yadigar Shukurov, born in 1990, Rovshan Alizadeh, born in 1991, and Gilman Huseynov, born in 1976, was hit by an anti-personnel mine while carrying out demining work in the mentioned area. Shukurov and R. Alizade received various injuries, while G. Huseynov's right leg was amputated.
