According to the information received by the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA), during the inspection of slaughterhouses and meat sales points in Sabirkand village, Shamkir region, it was found that the color of meat sold in the shop belonging to Aliyev Nurlan was black, pungent and unfit for consumption.
According to info given by AQTA to SIA, unfit for consumption meat was also found in the trunk of a Gazel car with registration number 57-CD-617 in front of the store.
Samples were taken for examinations and submitted to the relevant laboratory of the Azerbaijan Institute of Food Safety. 75 kg of black meat with a pungent odor was destroyed. Investigations are currently underway.
The agency once again calls on those engaged in illegal animal slaughter to comply with the requirements of the law and to refrain from illegal activities.
