The Prosecutor General's Office issued a statement

On November 25, last year, the Sabirabad District Prosecutor's Office received information about the discovery of human bones in a burned car on the side of the road in the Buldug village of the district. According to the info given by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office to SIA, during the preliminary investigation, it was established that the car on the Sabirabad-Garaguney road belonged to Rafat Ganiyev, born in 1980.

A forensic and genetic examination was ordered to determine whether the bones found in the car belonged to Rafat Ganiyev.

Numerous investigations have revealed that Rafat Ganiyev did not die, but has intentionally tried to create the appearance of burning to death by throwing an unknown animal's bones into the car, in order to avoid criminal liability for fraud in the sale of apartments of Caspian Inshaat MB building in Baku, where he worked as the director.

Rafat Ganiyev's whereabouts were determined and detained by the Sabirabad District Prosecutor's Office and the district police department.

An investigation is currently underway at the district prosecutor's office.
