An artillery shell was found in Haji Zeynalabdin settlement of Sumgayit city. This was reported to SIA by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It was noted that the 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about the discovery of military ammunition in Haji Zeynalabdin settlement, Sumgayit.
The Special Risk Rescue Service (SRRS) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was immediately called to the scene. After taking appropriate security measures in the area together with law enforcement officers, one 122 mm OF-462 artillery shell was found during the inspection of the scene.
The ammunition was removed from the area for disposal by specialists of the XRXX task force. No other dangerous or suspicious objects were found during the additional search at the scene and in the surrounding area.
