Allegations about Razi Alishov's arrest for his opposition views is unfounded - Ministry of Internal Affairs
It is alleged on social media websites that Razi Alishov was arrested on the pretext that he had opposition views. In response to a question from SIA, the head of the press service of the Interior Ministry Ehsan Zahidov said that the allegations were completely unfounded:
"Addressing the publishers of these allegations, I would like to say that we should strongly condemn those who are involved in drug trafficking, rather than defend them. As a result of the measures taken by police against drug trafficking, dozens of people are detained every day. Appropriate measures are taken against those involved in drug trafficking. they are held accountable not for their position in society, but for their specific actions.
Ganja resident Razi Alishov was detained yesterday while selling methamphetamine as a result of relevant measures taken by the City General Police Department. A criminal case has been launched under Article 234.2 of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is under way. Citizen Razi Alishov was remanded in custody by a court decision".
