Two Azerbaijani citizens were detained at the Vakhtangisi border checkpoint in Georgia. SIA reports citing the statement from the Georgian Interior Ministry.
According to the report, individuals born in 1998 and 1989 were accused of illegally crossing the state border of Georgia in groups, as well as obtaining, storing and importing large quantities of drugs.
The investigation revealed that the accused illegally crossed the Georgian border from Azerbaijan by checkpoint and imported more than 10 kilograms of heroin.
They will be facing between 15 and 20 years in prison or life in prison.
