More than 900 bodies of civilians have been discovered, said Andrii Niebytov, the head of the Kyiv regional police during a briefing on Friday, SİA reports citing CNN.
"Unfortunately, I can say that we have found the bodies of 900 civilians killed. They have been submitted for forensic examination.
Nebitov said that 350 of the bodies were found in Bucha, where Russian troops were accused of committing war crimes.
He added that additional bodies are expected to be found in Borodyanka and Makarov as the process of clearing the rubble continues.
The victims were civilians and had no ties to the military unit, noted the police chief.
