The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies. The Ministry of Emergency Situations told SIA that on the basis of calls received by the ministry's 112 hotline, the corresponding bodies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations carried out emergency rescue operations over the past day on 23 fires and 2 cases of helplessness. As a result of dire and urgent measures, fires were extinguished and people's lives were saved.
In total, 3 people, 2 of them minors, were rescued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations over the past day.
