The 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has received information about the discovery of ammunition in the Khizi region.
The Ministry told SIA that a special demining team of the Special Risk Rescue Service (SRRS) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was immediately called to the scene.
After taking appropriate security measures in the area together with law enforcement officers, it was determined that the ammunition found during the inspection of the scene were parts of a 122 mm BM-21 "Grad" missile.
The projectile was removed from the area to be neutralized by the specialists of the XRXX task force.
No other dangerous or suspicious objects were found during the additional search at the scene and in the surrounding area.
