“You know, it is very difficult for every Azerbaijani to stand in front of these destroyed houses, to watch this horrible scene,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with AzerTag during his visit to Ganja on January 30, SİA informs.
The head of state recalled that Ganja was repeatedly bombed by the criminal Armenian army during the Second Karabakh War.

In Ganja alone, 26 civilians were killed by this cowardly fire, fell victims to Armenian fascism. The city of Ganja was shelled with both Tochka-U and SCUD missiles. When we said our word on this issue, the Armenian side denied it. Then the false Armenian propaganda, fabricating another fake, declared that Azerbaijan itself was shelling its cities. See how vile and dishonest they are. Just like the Armenians used to say that the Azerbaijanis themselves committed the Khojaly genocide, this time the Armenians have again become victims of their lies, as they say. Because the trajectory of ballistic missiles is followed by major powers, and everyone saw that the Armenian army purposefully shelled a peaceful city, the residential area of the city, far from the war zone, at night. In other words, this was not an accidental fire, it was aimed at purposefully destroying residential quarters, killing Azerbaijani citizens, intimidating the Azerbaijani people, and deterring the Azerbaijani leadership from liberating the lands. Of course, this is a war crime and should be recognized by the world as a war crime. The Azerbaijani Army did not resort to such crimes during the war, we fought the war with dignity, we responded to the enemy on the battlefield. When Ganja and other cities - Mingachevir, Barda, Tartar, Goranboy, Aghdam district, Fuzuli district, Naftalan were bombed, I said that we would take revenge on the battlefield. Unlike Armenians, we will never commit war crimes. This once again shows the greatness of our people, the correctness of our policy,” President Aliyev said.
