First group of Azerbaijani firefighters return home from Turkey

The first group of the firefighting and rescue forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched to fraternal Turkey to assist in fighting forest fires on the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev has returned home today.

The ceremony of welcoming the group took place at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Notably, the second group will reach the airport at around 23:00 tonight. Meanwhile, the equipment left Turkey for Homeland by land today.

The efforts to contain the forest fires in Turkey involved 743 employees of the Ministry of Emergency, alongside 97 pieces of equipment, including 77 firefighting vehicles, six pumping vehicles, one fueling tank, four headquarters cars, two buses, and one pickup, as well as secondary technical means, a BE-200ÇS amphibia airplane and one helicopter.(Report)
