A Somalia government spokesman says the death toll in a car bombing in Mogadishu is at least 30 and it likely will rise again. Ismail Mukhtar said that more than 60 people were wounded and they are still being taken to hospitals. The massive car bomb exploded in a busy area of the Somali capital on Saturday.
Police officer Ibrahim Mohamed said "the blast was devastating, and I could confirm more than 20 civilians killed, there were many more wounded, but the toll can be higher".The explosion occurred in a busy area prone to heavy traffic due to a security checkpoint and a taxation office.
