At least 82 people have been killed in a gas explosion at a coal mine in China"s Shanxi Province, the Xinhua news agency noted, SİA informs.
According to the media outlet, officials responsible for the accident have been "placed under control." A rescue operation is underway.
The accident occurred at the Liushenyu mine operated by Shanxi Tongzhou Group on May 22.
