ANAMA worker injured in mine explosion in Khojavend district

A mine incident occurred in the Khojavend district.

The Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) told SİA that a mine incident occurred on October 20, 2025, in the territory of Taghaverd village of the liberated Khojavand district.

Ilgar Vali Shirinov, born in 1967, an ANAMA employee working as an excavator operator, was injured as a result of the anti-personnel mine explosion while performing his official duties.

The injured person was evacuated from the site and taken to the district hospital. His right foot was amputated at the heel. His condition is reported as stable.
