Gurban Yetirmishli: Deepest earthquakes in Azerbaijan occur in Caspian Sea

The deepest earthquakes in Azerbaijan occur in the Caspian Sea, Gurban Yetirmishli, General Director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), said at a conference on "Natural Disasters, Ecological Problems, Green World," SİA informs.

He said that the depth of those earthquakes is between 60-70 km.

Yetirmishli noted that so far in 2025, about 3,000 earthquakes have occurred in the Caspian Sea.
