Evgenia Shishkova and Maxim Naumov, representatives of the Russian school of figure skating, were among the passengers on the ill-fated American Airlines flight that crashed near Washington, D.C.
The Bombardier CRJ700 passenger plane, operated by American Airlines, collided with a military Sikorsky H-60 Black Hawk helicopter in the vicinity of Ronald Reagan National Airport. The aircraft plummeted into the Potomac River.
As of now, authorities have confirmed 19 fatalities in this horrific incident.
