Iran's Judiciary: No evidence found of sabotage in Raisi's helicopter crash

There is no evidence of sabotage or a terrorist attack in the crash of former President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter, the spokesperson of Iran's Judiciary and Legal System, AsgHar Jahangir, said at today's press conference, SİA reports.

"At the moment, no evidence indicating sabotage or a terrorist attack has been found in the crash of former President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter," the spokesperson noted.

He added that investigations are ongoing.

Noted that on May 19 of last year, a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed in the Varzaqan district of East Azerbaijan province, resulting in the deaths of 8 people. On board the helicopter were Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Governor of East Azerbaijan Malik Rahmati, Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, the Imam of the Juma Mosque in Tabriz city, and Mehdi Mousavi, General Brigader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
