Azerbaijan's State Border Service and Internal Affairs Ministry detain 4 people in connection with drug smuggling
The State Border Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan conducted a joint operation, Press Center of the State Border Service told SİA.
According to the information, at 02:40 on July 16, in the service area of the "Horadiz" border detachment of the Border Troops, Rasulov Kamil Sattar, born in 1984, a resident of Gazakh district, who smuggled 17 kilograms of marijuana from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan, was detained as a result of the vigilance of the State Border Service employees.
As a result of the operation-search measures jointly conducted by the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to identify and prosecute other members of the organized criminal group engaged in drug smuggling and illegal circulation, residents of Garadagh district, Isgenderov Elchin Aliaga, born in 1982, Isgenderov Gulaga Aliaga, born in 1985, and Sariyev Taleh Babakarim, born in 1989, were detained in Baku city.
Operational-investigative measures are ongoing.
