Two arrested in Baku for drug trafficking, heroin and methamphetamine seized - PHOTO/VIDEO

Two individuals have been detained in Baku for their involvement in drug trafficking, with the discovery of approximately 4 kilograms of heroin and methamphetamine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs told SIA.

The capital's law enforcement officers apprehended Tabriz Guliyev and Huseyn Ismayilov, both previously convicted, for their alleged participation in the illegal circulation of narcotics.

During the operation, 2 kilograms of heroin and 300 tablets of methadone were found in possession of T. Guliyev, while H. Ismayilov was found with nearly 2 kilograms of heroin and methamphetamine.

Upon interrogation, H. Ismayilov revealed that he was coerced into drug trafficking by an individual known as "Baba," who is currently under investigation and identified as an Iranian national.

Investigations are ongoing to apprehend other members of the drug network associated with the detainees.
