During the first three months of 2024, more than 2000 earthquakes were recorded in Azerbaijan, the general director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center under ANAS, professor Gurban Yetirmisli told journalists, SİA informs.
He said that the public was also informed about earthquakes with a magnitude of 3 and above.
"The tremors are increasing day by day. However, seismic activity in the country is currently at the background level. These are small tremors. There are no such strong tremors that there is a possibility of a devastating earthquake," Yetirmishli said.
