In a seismic event recorded at 16:46 local time, the Caspian Sea experienced a 3.2 magnitude earthquake.
According to the Seismological Research Bureau of the Seismological Service Center near the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (AMEA), this marks the second earthquake observed in the sea during the day, SIA reports.
Earlier, a 3.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Caspian Sea.
The earthquake's epicenter is reported to be located at a depth of 11 km. The Seismological Service Center continues to monitor and investigate seismic activities in the region.
