In Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, visibility was restricted to 50-500 meters due to fog, the National Hydrometeorological Service told SIA.
During this period, the relative humidity in the affected areas fluctuated between 88% and 92%, contributing to the atmospheric conditions leading to reduced visibility.
Additionally, the foggy weather has extended its reach to other regions, including Guba, Lerik, Gusar, and Yevlakh, where visibility has also been constrained to 500 meters.
Experts emphasize that the recent foggy weather across Azerbaijan aligns with anticipated atmospheric phenomena driven by synoptic conditions. This weather pattern is attributed to the presence of an inversion layer formed by the movement of a cold air mass over warmer surfaces. Residents are advised to stay informed about the weather conditions and exercise caution while navigating through the affected areas.
